Kellie Elizabeth Abercrombie was killed in a car accident in July 2006. She was the second to
youngest in the family. She has a big family ... There is her Mum and Dad, then all her Brothers and
Sisters, in order of age, Natalie, James, Callum, Rosie, Jake, Helen, then Kellie, and finally Ty.
She is greatly missed by everyone.
Kellie loved dancing. She attended Ballet, Tap, Ballroom and Salsa Dancing classes. She also did
Gymnastics and Swimming.
Kellie was always very generous. She never used to spend any of her pocket money, and would save it
all. Then when it was some one's Birthday, or it was Christmas, she would spend all her pocket
money on presents. Just before she died she had decided that she wanted to raise money for Great
Ormand Street Hospital, and Cancer research. When she died we divided her pocket money (a total of
£95.88!) between these two charities.
Kellie was such a bubbly little girl. She was very kind and helpful. If she saw someone upset, she
would leave whatever she was doing to help them.
Kellie was a real girly girl. She loved everything pink!! Her favourite animal was a butterfly, and
she would regularly just sit outside looking at the butterflies! She also loved dolphins, and for
her 6th Birthday was taken to Orlando, Florida, where she went swimming with the dolphins!
Kellie had a passion for music, and would regularly dance around the house singing. At the age of 5,
Kellie won an award for singing in her school concert. She was part of the school choir too.
Kellie had always said when she grew up she wanted to either be a singer, or dancer. We wish she
could have grown up to do that, as she really loved both dancing and singing.
I am so very sorry for your loss. God bless Kellie, sleep tight.
Thinking of you with love
================
We thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday, and days before that too.
We think of you in silence, we often speak your name.
All we have are memories, and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake, with which we will never part.
God has you in his keeping, we have you in our hearts.
A million times we've wanted you, a million times we cried.
If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone.
For a part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You were such a dedicated student! You loved dancing so much! I was so pleased to have you in my class! When you left us, the whole class was very sad. They put on your favourite Ballet show - Swan Lake - to raise money to get you a memorial. We raised £4,000 and got you a memorial in the shape of ballet slippers, which sits outside the ballet academy. We had your name engraved on it, with a special message that reads: 'In loving Memory of Kellie Abercrombie, who attended the academy of Dance from 2001 - 2006. A most Dedicated Student.'
Kellie, the whole Dance Academy misses you so much. Love, Rita x
I remember once when you were sick. You had to have the day off school, but you didn't want to, because you had dance in the evening. You loved dance so much that you did everything you could to be there. In the end, you pestered Mum so much, she let you go. Then you spent the whole time in and out the loo being sick! Your love for dance was something very special. It was a natural talent you had, and you absolutely loved it. I can also remember the first day you asked Mum if you could go to ballet. She first said no, because she said you would never stay with it. So you ran to Dad. You were always a Daddy's girl! You got your own way with Dad, and he said yes, you could go to ballet! You were so excited. Mum was so surprised, because you carried on at it, before you started the other dance classes! We miss you dancing round the house, and I know your dance class miss you too! Xxxx
So sorry for your loss
I said, 'God, I hurt.'
And God said, 'I know.'
I said, 'God, I cry a lot.'
And God said, 'That is why I gave you tears.'
I said 'God, I am so depressed.'
And God said, 'That is why I gave you Sunshine.'
I said, 'God, life is so hard.'
And God said, 'That is why I gave you loved ones.'
I said, 'God, my loved one died.'
And God said, 'So did mine.'
I said, 'God, it is such a loss.'
And God said, 'I saw mine nailed to a cross.'
I said, 'God, but your loved one lives.'
And God said, 'So does yours.'
I said, 'God, where are they now?'
And God said, 'Mine is on My right and yours will be in the Light.'
I said, 'God, it hurts.'
And God said, 'I know.'
I love you!
Kellie, we all miss you and love you very much! I hope you find lots of other Angels to play with! I know that you'll look after them, and make sure they're all happy! I know that you'll play nicely with them, and share all your Angel toys! We miss you so much. Ty keeps sitting in the window hoping you'll come home! You would be 9 years old now. Ty is only 5 though, so he doesn't understand. We love you so so mcuh. Xxxxx
